Jon - I don't quite know what you are asking?+

I am running with a 6", I think, setback - and enigne currently in the 2nd hole from below - moving it to the final hole today..

Ok - ehmmm is that a very bad thing or??

Please help me out on this matter..

Even if the leg is 5" longer shouldn't I just raise it 5" more than the "normal" leg?

Well yeah, but it'll put a load more load on your transom, and raise your centre of gravity by miles (very bad)

also, as you're running a 6" setback, you'll need to raise it even farther to get the equivilent 'correct' drive height.

get a 20" mid section, and throw away the bracket.

you'll go quicker, and the boat will handle a million times better.

Thanks - how much will a 20" section set me back??
Should i go for a Sportsmaster/torquemaster (don't know the difference) or ?!?!?

Sportmaster has a pointed bullet with the low water pick-up for higher transom heights

Torquemaster has the rounded front and the higher pickup

actually, TM's have a lower water p/up its just not the conventional type at the front of the bullet
