US Customs in need of repair
This boat has been in a serious gun fight - and we thought the Needles could be hairy!

Very good Blu Fin guess you learnt that trick whilst sitting in the back with Howard?
Talking of drug running was reading some great stories about an old Class1 US racer. This guy was the biggest importer of Coke into Florida in the early 80's. Believe it or not, he had done a deal with the CIA. He shipped arms for them, and brought back the powder on the return journey.
His head was later sent in a box to his wife.
Before winning the Miami New York race in a giant Cougar Cat this little incident happened.
A Rolls Royce pulls up and out pops Maggie herself (George's wife)......... He motions her to join him on board, and before he could direct her otherwise, she hopped on one pickle fork of the Cougar and walked down the aluminium deck..... Wearing stiletto heels..... The noise was right out of Walter Mitty's daydreams...... "Ta pocketa, Tapocketa, tapocketa"..as each step produced a dimple in the endless newly painted surface..... They embraced lovingly...exchanged geographic coordinates or some other little secrets...and separated adoringly..... She (almost) retraced her steps leaving a double trail of ruin behind her..
A few minutes later George turned to a wincing crewman...and said without blinking...... "Feez dat chit" and pointed to the deck.
This was US Offshore racing in the 80's.............

Whilst in Miami in Feb, I picked up three more copies of searace, what a great book!
(not all for me, one nice new un-opened spare for me, one for Matt, and one for tony Fiddey's Daughter)
