That looks like Old harry rock that they are about to go past too....

Its a shame the big stuff doesn't do the cowes to torquay anymore, used to enjoy sitting on the start line

we nearly bought "macho" to replace Superscroo. "gentleman" Jack Cunningham owned it. it had twin 650 mercruisers. looks great. ive got another pic somewhere.

the big ones are from calenders (Beken of Cowes), in the late 70's and early 80's. we sponsered them, so we have got s few. its a shame no one does it these days. some great photos on some.

Double Two Shirts

Here's a pic of the old girl in the Isle Of Mann on the 84 Round Britain, with a pair of Sabres. We had the same motors and you had to start them on ether as they were such low compression using a start pilot hand pump, the smoke was disgusting. Any guesses on the name of the guy in the pale blue shirt ? A well known old outboard salt.

hes a very good friend of mine, he used to race cats, untill he had a horrific accident and flipped. broke his hip or something. its funny, i never new him when racing, but he was around somewhere!
