Think the nearer one might be the back end of ""Hot Omlett" Bobby B Michleson rig. cant really see it on the screen at work coz it's to dim. Will look later. If it is it was a UK home grown thing the escapes me at the moment.
As for the fletcher yep was a good boat but never had the legs to keep up with the other rigs needed a rough day to the point when everybody slowed up

Great old pics! thanks for sharing.

were you a 'racer' at the time, if so, what did you run?

and if it's not a secret, who are you?

Mostly class 3D, occasionly class 2. Needles trophy, cowes torquay etc.... Europeian champs in 1976.

Other boat include "canicometoo", Perlcorder, cossac.

Have you heard of Bonito?

Peter Harris is the name! Raced with my brother Rob, macenhill, and Noel Edmunds!

Yes i did hear about that, but thankfully was no where near him when it happened! i only raced a couple of times with him, in Perlcorder. first there was "scroo", then "Twinscroo" then "superscroo". "canicometoo" was a 32' with 4x 175 mercs. didnt go at all really!
I "attempted" the round britain race, but unfortunatly blew up on the start line!
To be honest noel never actually drove the boat, he normally attampted to throttle, and trim. he was crap.

thems motors are wicked!

the way i see it, I've gotta get a bronze metalflake arrowshaft with cream trim and a set of triple merc towers.

I reckon i'd be deported for being way too superfly

THANKS PATRIOT, GREAT PICS

Sorry mate was working for my 15 mins of the day.

Canicometoo....was that a Corniche, a splash off the Ivory Coast Express that sank during a cowes-Torquy then got recover ages after. Wasn't Cossack, Pearlcorder one & the same just a sponsor change or was it a different boat. Maybe I'm wrong but they aleways seemed to be a little underpowered. Would loved to have seen a really serious big block inboards in one.

Oh a phone call how exciting better answer it.......
