The boat's a 1998 Cougar 30 Thunderboat powered with a single 950hp blower motor from Express Marine. It was commissioned by Tony Dowley and Tony and Chris Peeters were the 2002 ProVee European champions. 'Thundebird' is currently racing in the ProVee series as 'Thundercoast of Finland.'
Ring Pete or Steve at Cougar re a new one. Alternatively, Simon Fletcher and Miles Jennings each have one and might be interested in selling.
By the way, the new Thunderbird (Nor-Tech Supercat 3600)recently ran in Norway at 155 mph. Not bad for a pleasure boat.

Isnt/wasnt there another one of these in ProVee called "thunderstruck" or "thuderstorm" .......pretty much a plane white boat.
I used to watch the stuff on sky channel 1 billion with Tiff Needel. I seem to remember that boat allways being the bridesmaid.

Simon's boat was 'Thunderstorm.
Drew Langdon who also races in the Powerboat P1 series (Buzzi Bullet) now runs 'Thunderstorm in ProVee. Don't know if he bought it from Simon or leases it.
