Its the scarcity of some that makes the remaining special and worth restoring.

When you lose something you love .......

You dont let it happen again.

They look unloved, but are clearly being kept by the owner for good reason, which has to be his passion.

Remember that many old raceboats get scrapped because there's no one with the passion / cash to pay for their storage.

Jaguar the Legend, Shockwave, Paul Picot and Flippin Eck but to name a few.

Maybe his favourites will get a makeover one day.

To be fair, what'd happen to em if he didn't keep em?
Someone'd buy em planning all sorts of unrealistic restorations, they'd sit for another 10 years rotting and finally end up getting cut up & scrapped.

Sad but true. I remember a CUV 38 (Trussardi Parfums) that I saw in Holland a few years ago. The hull itself was built in '86 and looked spotless. In another BM thread it was said they scrapped it for the aluminium because no one wanted to buy it.

I can't imagine Corbelli will bring any of his boats back to life. Such a shame because some of them, especially those big monos would make a nice pleasure boat like this one:
