Hi Ben,

are you saying that Adam designed those 20 years ago (he must have been 15?). OR do you mean he was racing them 20 years ago?

Fine, the real answer.

I get very annoyed with people making disparaging comments about others who have demonstrated a great deal of dedication to powerboating - especially annoyed with those who have been involved with our sport for what seems like five minutes.

If any of those hot shots out there who have never raced but feel qualified to comment on others who have would care to have a go, I'm sure that something could be arranged.

BTW you are not allowed to quit after 5 minutes-even if there is a slight popple.

They were actually designed by me for a company in Cornwall about 1990. The idea was that they would then do a sexy deck moulding at a later date. Built a handfull of boats only from the moulds before the owner was made an offer he could not refuse and went to work for another company.

Project was put on hold and I ended up with the moulds.

Have been tempted to build one (with new deck) for ages - because they are so much fun. Used the first one from the mould and had great fun in quite choppy water.

Will see if I can find any more photo's.

I was quite tempted to moderate Mr Rob's post for that exact reason. But since I knew Adam has already designed an updated deck, and the deck on it was never meant to be the 'production' deck, I thought it'd be more interesting to leave it and see what transpired! And Hey Presto!

I didn't interpret Phil's post in the same way though.

And BTW, I've been doing it for 6 minutes now!

Would be good as a racing class too. Perhaps with Cougar cubs, and the one below (Jay Craft) which was at the Southamton boatshow

Funny - I've been getting closer to moving the moulds into the workshops lately, but still having a big sort-out of all sorts of gear.

Don't know what it would cost to build - as having trouble getting anyone to make anything at the moment. One reason I was looking at selling moulds etc. But certainly hours and materials are pretty small.

Planning on reversing the ageing process from now on - just going to take a year off on each birthday instead!
