XBoat 22

As I said couple months ago I'm building new boat.
Here is how it will (about) looks like

Sorry for bad drawning but I don't have any others right now.

It will be 6.85m long, 1,95m beam
22 degree twin step bottom
Baltek Core construction with quadradirectional glass fabrics
Weight should be about 450kg rigged less engine

Bottom mould should be ready in january
We hope to lunch first boat spring 2008 (april)

Looks good!

Inboard or outboard power.

Looks like a lot of bow rake for a 22 foot boat, you might want to make the most of the waterline length for rough water, with such a short length.

Still looks fantastic, very light weight too for balsa.

looks very differnt and i like the look of the top deck to
would be intrested to hear how it performs when in the water
any plans for production if all goes well

Thanks guys for all good opinions

Outboard power, every horsepower you've got as long as it is single O/B ( 300hp+ ). It will be build very strong, don't want to have problems with low quality and braking transoms/bottoms at high hp.

Plans for production?? It depends from orders but I will be able to make one complete boat in 2-3 week time, also I can make couple boats at one time. Laminating takes 3-4 days, after that I can start to rig it and build another one. We'll see....

First boat will have my XR2 Race Merc, with center fuel tank and keel pad at last bottom section I hope to run somewhere in low to mid 70's but everything will be clear in aprill
