Young Love

I spotted this Fairey? recently in Puerto Pollenca, Mallorca and then found this Fletcher? in the media section on here. Same name, same number.
Just wondered if it means anything to anyone....cheers.

Hi Ian,

Was the Blue Laser 16 hull still on the shore with a hole in the bottom?

Nah, not me.

It's just a standing joke:

"at the roundabout, turn left towards Puerto Pollenca. Continue along the shore road until you come to the upturned laser 16 with a hole in the bottom and then turn left".

I believe it was damaged in a heavy storm many years ago but became a landmark. I used to travel to Alcanada near Alcudia regularly on business for a period of 4 years and she was always there when i passed into Pollenca.
