2-stroke oil

Anybody used the Rock Oils MP3 semi synthetic stuff, is it any good?
It's NMMA TCW-3 & cheaper than the Quicksilver stuff.

Used it for the last two seasons and have ever had a Problem due oil. I did run a 2.4 steel bore at 7250rpm at 32.1 with no signs of wear. Hope that helps out

Malc20, it does mate thanks. All points of view are knowledge.
I used to run with Castrol Bio-lube until it priced itself out of the affordable market.

i used the Rock Oil DFI in my XR2 all season. Not a single bearing sound and psi still 152psi each cylinder. We where running it at 7000rpm a lot and with a few lesser experienced drivers having a go. it performed amazingly. i am an authorised Rockoil dealer and sell the dfi (synthetic which exceeds evinrude x100 and mercury high performance and TCW3+) for £7 a litre (more than 3 starts bigger discount and quote boat mad and even more discount). PS dont rate Amsoil as ****ed a ring very quick when using amsoil (as recommended by others on here although this was on a yam 115!)

I have heard that rock oil is very good.
Although having used Amsoil for more than 20years I would be reluctant to change. Always ran XR2 at 75:1 on it always ran spotless as do the Yams !

While we are on the subject. A local supplier to me has started selling MPM oil. Their website states different engines for marine and why oil to use. They do say that the high performance gear lube they sell is the same as quicksilver high performance gear lube.
What's the spec of the blue HP oil from mercruiser? Just the blue die in it which the MPM also has. If a little green. Rather than blue.
