300 Vs 300X

With a lack of returned phone calls from official sources I'm turning here for the info.
What is the Difference between the following:
300X C
300X C/Offshore
What are the differences between a 300 & the 300X (apart from the horsepower before one of you say it).
Could a 300 be upgraded to 300X spec

Dunno if this helps, cut & pasted from Scream & Fly:
Quote:
The 300 PM is based on the 3litre 225/250 EFI which has been around since 94-95. It uses the "Laser" style injection with multiple butterflies and is limited in RPM range to around 6400 depending on the year. The oil is mixed with the fuel before the high pressure fuel pump and goes through the injectors.

The 300X is based on the 3.0 litre optimax block and has a single butterfly on the plenum that is aimed to the top of the cowl. They have a higher rev limit of 7100 RPM and the oil is injected into the block by an electric pump, it doesn't get mixed with the fuel before the injectors. It makes more horsepower but turns a higher RPM.
