Something to consider is it's very expensive to reprogram the computer. Whipple are the only company licensed by merc to play with it for you if needs be, so if you do end up one day picking up a supercharger you might pay as much to have your engine remapped.
But raylor just re adjust the fuel pressure via an adjustable fuel pressure reg for their 525 kit normally aspirated kits, a reprogram only needed if going for their 600hp NA kit.
And their 525hp kit involves different heads with higher compression and different internal; inlet manifold, different exhaust, and mild cam, and a few shiny bits. So it might be worth having a chat with Ray at raylar see what he thinks.
Personally I wouldn't bother with the HO and just sort out your current 502 it will be cheaper.
