anyone got any idea on top speed of a BackDraft 22 with a 260efi or is it better rigged with a 200xr2?

Just to give you a ballpark range there's a heavy layup (400kg) 22' Ocke that runs a 280 at 86mph+. The 23s run low-mid 90s. I'd stick to an XR2 on a the Backdraft...

In the US, a 22 footer would have 2 260's... What does she weigh ?

Bare hull I would expect around 250-300kg (In US around 550-650Lbs)

The minumum weight for this class (UIM III B) is 595kg or 1,312 US Lbs which would be complete with residual fuel and no crew. I am sure there are 22' boats capable of taking twin 260's, however if this boat was built for the 1.3 litre class it will have a very shortened life with anything larger on it, in fact it probably shouldn't have a 2 litre 200 hp XR2 on it with some strengthening!
A note about US versus UK boating - the difference in fuel costs means that in the UK we tend towards getting the most speed out of our fuel whilst cheaper fuel in the US means they can go for a bigger bang - I'm sure I speak for many on here when I say that we are quite jealous of the fuel prices - even now!
