Question Carbon Fibre

Anyone know much about moulding with carbon fibre?
How much different is it to fibreglass?
The first thing i've got in mind is a simple splash from a plug...
Cheers, Max

Depends if your using it for it's strength or just it's looks.

If you just want the looks then use clear gel, then carbon wetted out with polyester resin, then chopped with a black pigmented resin.

Hardest bit is keeping the weave straight, we used to use black gel as a border where ever there was a tricky curve.

Needs to be of reasonable strength as it's for a dash in a boat but would also like the look.
The same poly resin as used with f.glass?

Yeh, exactly the same, and in that application it would be as strong, but no stronger than normal glass!
