carbon fibre reed valves??

hi guys can some one possibly help me out with some advice on carbon reed valves about to purchase some but want to make sure im doing my self a favour, been told they shud improve performance and cold start reliability, its for a yam 130 any input is apreciate it thanks matt

I've never had good luck with carbon fiber reeds ... IMO they will not seal, they are expensive and when they break they fracture and leave LARGE holes that can cause an engine to run lean. I use only TDR Reed valves in my race ( over 11,000 rpms,) and my recreational motors and have had zero issues. I "can" sell and endorse any reed I choose. I have ran tones of brands of reeds but have found the TDR reeds to be the best....They are $175.00 USD a set + freight...
