Classic Fletcher

Hello everyone I have a 17.5 foot Fletcher bull nose fiberglass speed boat that I have been told is an early 170 from about 1968. Have really struggled to find any info on it due to the age and am looking for anyone who knows any info on it. The boat was a bit of a wreck when I got it and has been a bit of a labour of love rebuilding it. I would really aprecaite it if anyone could give me any information at all that they have on it please.

Hello ModWolf

Nice looking Fletcher 170 Arrow. At that age it is almost Vintage
The bull nose design was inspired by American Glastron, but the hull is entirely Norman Fletchers own design.
The age sounds about right. I am afraid I dont have any more info on the Fletchers produced before 1972..

Kind regards

Troels

have just found that the boat was called "PRESS ON" at some point in its life and had links to H & D P.B.C. which I'm assuming is H & D power boat club if that jogs anyones memory?

hi!

This is the oldest 170 i ever saw! And yes, as told before, the bull-nose was on several models.

as you can see, this is a smaller one from around 1970 with newer decals on it!
