cle ratio

Can anyone tell me the if a 2:1 ratio is better than a 1.87:1 I'm hopefully rebuilding a cle and have a 2:1 ratio at the mo. Are they a bit more torquey? and can I put a higher pitch prop on with that?

It's an xr2 on a marshan 19

With a 2:1, yes you can put a larger or prop with more pitch.. Has alot more punch with a 2:1 lower unit..
