Cleaver Propellers

Will they work best best used with an offshore midsection? I.e. not gases flowing over the prop.

Offshore mids dont stop the exhaust gasses from coming out the gear case. They will reduce the amount leaving via that route though.

I doubt it makes much difference!!!

In fact thinking about it at speed the exhaust gasses may even get sucked out the back of the gearcase meaning that more gas leaves via this route than through the opening in the mid. That would mean performance wouldnt be that much different from a standard mid in terms of the amount of gas flow over the prop. I may be comletely wrong about this though, I'm just thinking out loud!!!

Thats a good bit of logic. I would imagine it would create a lot of suction.
Was it you or wacky racer that had their cleaver repaired?

I may just have the prop you want if you need stern lift, ive got a 24 pitch 4 blade mach 1 cleaver that gives loads of stern lift and great handling in the rough.

Wasn't me. But my chopper is at prop revolutons to see if they can do anything with it, maybe that what your thinking of.

i dont think there is any advantage with regards to the exhaust gases
offshore mids are built to race offshore and hence are stronger
but they do sound a lot racier, especially a 2.5 efi

Thumbs down Stren Lift on a Marshan

Surely you should be fitting a prop that would create more Bow lift on your Marshan not Stern lift.
Those things run flat even when trimmed out.
Would not be my choice of prop, certainly not on that boat anyway.

I know people keep on telling me that but I never had a problem getting the bow in the air.

Cyco
I have not driven a 21 Marshan but ran a 19 for several years and agree with Cyco that bow lift is what you need not stern lift. Particularly in a following sea, the first thing that Terry Sleap tells you is to keep the nose up or you will stuff it. I can personally vouch for that from experience in my early basic racing days when we stuffed big time at Falmouth!
We found a 24" small hub chopper and a 23" laser worked well on an XR2 fitted to the 19. A mate with a 21 Marshan bought the 24" chopper off me and he swore by it.
Hope this helps.
Ian.

Gear shift

What do you want a single for just gear shift or a double for gear shift and bow tank.
Do you want your logo in it?
or would you prefer: FWD NEU REV with direction arrows.

Pm me for prices.
I have a batch of these just about to go through so good timing.
Burty is having a set done.

How do you plan to mount them?
Do you have a panel in the boat already or do I need to supply one.
Gav is making a custom firbeglass panel for Burty you could also consider that!!
Let me know your requirements.

Cyco.
