I remrmber at Teignmouth a few years ago one entered as a basic entry and got beaten bt the 1800cc boats. im my humble opinion i reckon a mk2 p23 with the same engine would pee all over it. especially in the lump. but this thread will all be speculation so its over to you my friend and see how you get on. good luck.

Id agree with that, Id say even a 21 ring or phantom would do it!

Was meant light hearted, but i stand by my opinion that most of this thread will be speculation untill a direct comparison is made.

Didn't a Honda 225 powered cougar beat everything bar the v24s and one p1 boat in the brass monkey a few years back?? That was a rough race with class 3c boats. Sure I remember a thread about it on here somewhere.

Looks great , there is a mat black one for sale here in the Netherlands , very curious what it would do with a 300XS on the back , especialy in corners .....

Was running a trophy 4 blade prop.
Did not have any trouble with water pressure, ran very well, even in the chop.
Speed not much different from old 300xs. Just acceleration power difference.
Remember 300xs was set low to p1 rules.
All in all very happy with the set up. Mark
