Desperate help req 260efi

Right, symptons as follows:
Turned up at slip last weekend, went to start, turned over fine but would not fire at all, so back home - put this down to a flatish battery but when I checked it still had 70% charge in it.
So last night, down the slip had the same problem (this was after the battery had been fully charged), so disconected it re-connected it and it started first time. Had a spin around the sound all seems ok.
Then the problems started....while sking the engine just died and would not re-start, no sight of it firing at all, I could hear the fuel pump working. left it for several minutes then tried starting up still no sight of any fire, starting to panic a bit now as theres only one other boat out in the area, jacked the engine up and took the cowl off but couldnt see any wires that had become disconnect, water/fuel seperator clamp was lose but cant imagine this is the problem.
Tired starting it again and it fired into life only for it to cut out a minutes later, the went on for 10minutres until I got so p***** off with it that I managed to get a pilot boat to tow me in.....
Sorry to give chapter and verse but I'm really hoping by doing so someone can point me in the direction real quick as I was really hoping (and looking forward to) catching up and helping out with the OCR which is in Plymouth this weekend.
So far things I got to check are stators, kill switch, fuel pressure, check fuel getting to plugs, spark.......... any other suggestion quick fixes????????
Thanks in advance.
Dan

First off you need a fully charged battery to work the ecu, much less than 12 volts ecu wont work.

Could be leaky injectors flooding engine

Reeds knackered

Faulty ecu, etc etc etc

You should take it to someone who knows what they are doing or your going to wreck engine.

Check EFI connection to harness, make sure all leads are clean, including clamps to battery, check earth lead to EFI box, or could be your switch boxes.

Steve and Nick are both good, but forlocal to you Tony Hole has to be an option, tell him I sent you and he will charge you double. Or you could wander down to the pits today and ask around.

Hi Kitten, yeah I've used Tony quite alot and he is good at what he does, only problem is that hes always so busy it takes ages for him to get a look at it. I will be at the pits today so might see you around.
Cheers
Dan
