what sort of speed should you get from a revenger 25 with 330hp inboard and wot prop

guy i think has 27" mirage top speed 55mph

is this about right for top speed or is prop to big whats the possible top speed without compromising all round perfomance

In about '85, Collin Curran did 65mph on windermere with a 25-SC, with a Mercruiser 370/TRS (i think) but he coulda been cheating!

There was a story about the boat 'Disprin, the fast one' as it was found some time after an insurance claim for it's theft had paid out, in a landfill site! on it's trailer, in perfect nick (minus engine/drive)

it had apparently been dumped, and covered with rubbish, but for some reason or another, the site was being cleared, and it turned up!!

Mr Fin - Would it be useful if I gave access to one of the gallery sites where ya can upload and store bigger pictures? Kinda create an online history archive as you scan and post stuff.

Bert, I don't think Simon is refering to the Mediteranee! he's refering to 'Disprin'

They (SC and Mediteranee) share the same hull

Motor Boats Monthly tested a 25 Volante (identical to the Mediteranee aside from the windscreen) in 1989 with a 330 bhp big block and reported the manufacturer estimated that the boat would run 62 mph.

A 25SC (Daddy's Toy) with a 260bhp small block set the record for Cruiser A in Winderemere in the late 80s at 59. something mph.

any idea why this boat only does 55mph sounds a bit fishy wot sort of prop would be normal

either engine not producing the power or been told by someone else it has wrong gearbox and over proped

or should i just leave it alone
