ETEC 200 hp prop

Need a new prop for my Etec 200 hung off my Sealegs 7 Metre rib. Any help amongst the cognoscenti of this site greatly appreciated as to what I should fit from amongst the myriad of makers. Or just stay bog standard Evinrude? Oh and by the way - faster, stronger and more fuel efficient etc!!!! Thanks in advance.

Rob

Sorry mate you are after that magic prop than does not exist! Lol. But it does depend on what you are looking for. A raker is good for top speed, the 4 blade renegade is a great prop for acceleration, stability and hold shot. The rebel is for good cruising speeds and fuel consumption but not the fastest. All are brp props but really you need to try them on your set up. I do like the 4 blade one myself but that just suits me, they are not the slowest prop either. Hope this makes it clear as mud for you. Unfortunately props are the dark art and there is no sure way to find out with out trying.

Rob, why not talk to Martin & Sonny Levi, and see if they can come up with a bespoke prop?

Prop

Thanks guys. I think the 4 blade Renegade sounds like the one. My use is mainly a commute from home on the mainland shore across to Cowes in the Sealegs and acceleration and carrying capacity rather than flat out top speed are probably the characteristics most needed. Very kind of you both to reply. Now I need to find a Renegade prop supplier. Very kind of you to reply.

I have a 23 pitch for sale But I will send you a link where you can get loads from the usa. The problem with using merc props on etecs it you need to pe bush them and also will need a nut made as the bush is a different length. Oh you can buy the props from any brp dealer too but they are not cheap
