External 'capacitive' sender unit??
Hi all,
I need to get fuel gauges for the two tanks in my cat, but they currently have no fittings and there's no way the tanks are coming out!
Does anyone know of a capacitive gauge sender that can work with petrol in an aluminium tank, or how i could go about cutting a hole in an ally tank 1/4 full of fuel??
Cheers, James

I've just thought that my tanks are most likely baffled, so a standard sender is probably not an option... Any other suggestions greatly appreciated!!
Cheers, James

I did consider flow meters, but i'm not the most organised person in the world so i think i'd just end up confused!
VDO tube sender sounds interesting, I'll google that!
Cheers Matt,
James

If I recall a previous conversation, Drip Stick for dipping the tanks but needs to flexible like some old curtain track (stuff ya granny used for her nets) due to acute bends, unless you are changing the run of the filler pipes. Cant recall if it was possible or not but something from the medium to long term memory !!!!

These are the best, and they're adjustable.

AKA, Same system thats used on a few Aircraft works well, accuracy is between 5-10% depending. Moving away from it a bit now due SFAR88 (worth a google if your bored SFAR 88 That is, Livorsi is always worth a google),
