Foot Throttle Problem

Wonder wether you guys can help..

Trying to fit a hotshot throttle to my Ring.

Has a Yam VX250 but uses a Quicksilver control box and mercury cables.

All works as have used the boat with this setup- fitted by previous owner.

Prior to ordering pedal we removed the control box and all look standard ( yeah we know now but the box is working somehow in a push configuration!!!)

Pedal works in both push and pull configurations.

Problem is the mercury cable fits at the top but not the bottom which I guess is designed for an OMC cable ?

Any suggestions or quick fixes ?

you can buy different aftermarket ends.
In my case I use Ultraflex for everything which comes with a 10/32 UNF threaded end & you put on what ever you want- have a trough around a teleflex web site
