Foot Trim - Switch Suggestions

Hi All,

Just starting a re-build on a Ring 20 for the 2016 GPA Race season!

Just getting parts ordered so we have everything as we get started.

I have Foot-trim on my Fletcher, used Windlass anchor switches, but these lack 'feel' or aren't very 'positive' and in a race situation i'd like to have a bit more feedback from the switch itself.

Any suggestions would be Greatly Appreciated!

Cheers

P

Lucas have waterproof rubber push start switches, easier to use than windlass ones and can be mounted in the footplate!

They are pretty good as they have quite a strong spring and some travel before contact so not easily operated unintentionally. A mountain bike noodle bellows over the shaft with a bit of grease and paint the back with OMC liquid neoprene and I've never had a failure.

Hi Pierre
I can do the trim unit for £32 plus the postage. They don't weigh much so should not be that expensive with Royal Mail.

Hope this is of help.
