Fresh Water Flush Kit Mercury XR2

I am sure I am just being dumb but having also been raped by Mercury £70 for their official fresh water flush kit for the offshore leg of my XR2 it doesn’t look like the thing fits at all. Fitted it as best as I could trying to find a way that would seal round the holes on the nose cone and with the hose on full started the engine. No water came out gave it a few revs still not water coming out of the tubes. Saw smoke got scared and switched off engine.

Does anyone know if a: there is more than one type of fitment for the offshore leg. b: have a diagram on how it should fit?

Remember Carly Baby fitting one to demonstrate the engine running when I brought it and it worked fine!

We just get a couple of bits of small diameter hose and heatshrink them onto a piece of hose and shove em up the hole! - works for us!
