Aftermarket pumps
Personally I wouldn't cut corners on fuelling if running a hot motor, different if running a fishing motor... That said, I know a few people running the Bosch copies with good result 🙂
Wiring - independent wiring from battery, switch on the dash with chunky wire & heatshrink terminals.
The Bosch draws about 13 amps @ 90psi if memory serves. They don't like running dry or drawing uphill so mount low with 1/2" hose to inlet side if rigging allows, 10mm I.d pipe from pump to engine preferred, 8mm will also work & return can be 8mm.
A large high-flowing filter if helpful plumbed before pump again with 1/2" tails.
Optional - A catch/surge tank is also good to have if you ever run the boat lower in fuel, this is a small low volume tank which will remain full until the last drops of fuel are gone from the main tank, providing a safe and reliable source for the pump to pick up fuel from- fuel pressure surges spell disaster for performance motors.
I could snap a couple of pictures of how I did the fuel setup in my phantom 23 if it would help?
