Fuel pump requirements for XR2

Have purchased a total overhauled XR2 -89 mod so called 150 hp, know that the later and more powerful XR2's require holly fuel pumps and pressure approx 4,3 psi, will this set up be recommended for my old model XR2 as well ?? Thanks in advance for good advise !!

Ive got later model xr2's they run with standard mechanical pump on the block fine.
Electric pumps are alot of hassle for no reason.

With 1 caveat. The mechanical pumps rely on good secondary compression, which an old and knackered motor can struggle to provide.
But if the motor is in good nick, what scotty says.
