Put all the nuts back on and tighten them up !! Disconnect all wiring, hoses etc and undo the 4 x 12mm bolts holding it to the transom, take it off and sell it.
Replace with a reliable engine.

Gear Change Stiff

With a bit of assistance(Lump of Wood and big hammer)I got the gear box off,The gear change was stuck but with a a bit of assistance and WD40 its moving but still tight, its tight in the leg,is it bushed at top and bottom or all the way down?presumably its a power head off job to get the shaft out ?,any suggestions to freeing it off in place. And Bob before you say 'sell it' I have to get it going first.Nic

The bushing is at the top rep 53, made of PTFE or similar, may be a little aluminum corrsosion ''squeeze''a bit the bushing around the shift rod rep 48
Better to spend some time to spray with WD40 until it's move freely than removing the powerhead.
hope this help.

Shift shaft

You can also tap it up until it hits the power head (disconnect from power head first) it should be fairly loose when fixed
