did it on my old boat
worked fine
Take the black plastic cover off and fill the top two holes in the plastic with areldite wait till its dry then off put it back together its only 1 nut and bolt and off you go
yes i done that when i had phantom 25 with 2 xr2 clam shell and drilled down peto with 13mm drill and drilled bottom of gearbox so i was able too run motors bit higher and blanked water intakes off on side off gearboxs with resin hope that helps
