HELP alarm on opti 225
hi guys, out on the water today i floored the throttle and the alarm sounded constantly, stay at 5 thou alarm goes off but push it a bit more and alarm sounds and gauges say reduce throttle engine guardian, any ideas, the gauge keeps saying 100% oil reserve left even tho the oil tank is full, dont know if this is a malfunction or what but dont want to risk ruining my engine, thanks in anticipation.

I am 99% sure that constant buzzer is overheat. Are you sure your getting enough water around the engine?

I took out the thermostats and ran it again the gauge said 29c engine temp,
and i dont think it could be overheat as i does it as soon as i floor the throttle, or if i go above 5000 revs

had it
i have had exactly the same problem with mine. these is a remote oil tank on the engine on the right hand side as you look at it from the boat. this will be low. fill it up with a syringe or small funnel and it will go away. mine did this in the middle of summer and its been ok since

And that's why God invented port and starboard.

Plug in a dtt and it will give you the answer!!!! More likely to be faulty sender, or over rev counter.

If it is the engine oil tank just run the engine and open the screw top bung, the tank will bleed itself as it is pressure fed from the remote oil tank
