Hydraulic ram fouling transom

Also while I remember, I`ve got a Hynautic Ram on my Yamaha, the type which bolts directly to the engine bracket instead of through tube. (and lets go at high speed
Engine cant be trimmed past about 1/2 trim without it fouling mounting bracket and ram on transom. It has all the proper Hynautic fitting kit for this engine I bought new last year

Is this a common problem for this type of ram? Or just that my Phantom has a very thick transom (not a bad thing I guess)
I cant let the boat dry out as cant get engine high enough.

Sorry I am away from boat. I don`t think there is anything that can be done about it, I have just always been curious about how you are supposed to tilt the engine all the way if you needed to. It was already fitted when I bought the boat.

I expect that if it was tilted all the way the ram would foul the transom and rip the four bolts out of the engine bracket.
