Hydraulic steering

hydraulic steering wont turn either way feels like its jammed up solid the sterering is on a catamaran with two jet drives im thinking its one of the valves in the helm pump the wheel turns slightly when the bleed valve on the rams are undone any ideas please

sounds like it to me, what helm is it? in Capilinos you can remove the the valves and blow them through with an air line

If the wheel turns when the bleed valves on the ram are opened then would that not suggest that the ram is seized, or a steering component stopping the ram from being able to move? with the bleed valves open can the ram be moved?

I dont have a great deal of experience with these systems, just my take on it!
