Indemar hydraulic hose

Hi everyone
Got a question for you. Is it possible to find a hydraulic steering hose for a Indemar Steering system? I am having no luck on tinternet. Also is there like a universal hose that I could use that is not Indemar? the only problem is that I do not know how to measure the thread etc to know if it would fit. Anyway and help/links etc would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Divertom, welcome to boatmad.

To be honest, i've not personaly heard of Indemar steering, tho that doesn't actually mean much.
I'm sure a trip down to your local hydraulic stockist, armed with samples of what you have, will get some answers faily quickly, even if it's just to say "we ain't got none", they may be able to identify the threads/fittings for you.

Hypo Marine in Lyminton might have or make something.
The one I use is Saywell, littlehampton way but they dont come cheap. but can do any type, I get them to do me Boeing hoses. There was a new company around Andover that started a year or so back they were pretty good and undercut Saywell by quite a bit. Name escapes me at the moment.

I used hypromarine recently, spoke to Gary, very competant, and price is right, but no stainless fittings.
http://www.thinkauto.co.uk can do most fittings in stainless, without prices being in the stratosphere

Try "Indumar" or Greg Basam at GB Watersports 01733322108 i seem to remember him supplying it at some point.
