jack plate sender

i need a mechanical sender for my cmc jackplate. i,ve got the elec one and the guage but its worse than useless. does any body have a pic or even better does somebody make one

You may be able to use a "stainless Marine Actuator", several people on the forum have them, I know coz i supplied them!

Just bolt a cable onto the lifter and use a mechanical guage same as for trim

Not as straight forward as it seems, the travel of most lifters is greater than a 33c's travel!

Std, same as a 33c, it's all sorted by the actuator, which they supply for both 5" and 7" of travel.

No, I left that bit out! I have some stops fitted to my lift that only allow it to travel the same amount as the cable can which is approx 4" the CMC lifter can travel 5 1/2" but that is plenty for me.

The stupid bit is the shipping, duty and vat. The part is about $50.00.

Next time I bring a jackplate in, I'll bring some extra actuators with it.

You could use an offset pivoty lever thingy (as pictured) behind the dash somewhere to shorten the cable travel to the dash unit!!!

a quick look through my unipart catolouge shows teleflex do a cable with 150mm 6" travel. its for manual gearboxs. i will enquire
