Hi peeps i know this has been steped on so many times, And that most people dont like them and think there a scream and fly gimick.

But who runs with one?

I know what they do

Just some opinons

I know Burty has one and so do i

I got one on hotshot. Havent used it yet tho (hopefully this weekend!!!) And had one on the Ring 18

JBD has one on both his P20's Cyco ran one on his P20, Bad Boy has one on his P21, shall i continue.
it seems most ski race boats run them

I run with one! I havent had it long but i think its a good thing! Set it high for flat out speed (gets abit of a handful though) and down for good handling in the rough!! The only thing i find though is when you run it down the engine doesnt rev out to its max revs! I normally run with it level with the bottom of the boat though as a rule!

Burty are your seats bolted straight to the floor low down? and is your passenger side rear empty ie no pumps etc?

drivers yes, observers around 6" higher and yes my battery and trim pump is in the back right, tabs pump is back left but dont weigh much, and yes engine in middle and fuel tank right at back, the only real difference between my setup and the way ian described is i have a jack plate and i use a bow tank rather than moving the fuel tank around (depending on conditions)
However Ian was racing OCR where speed in turns is everything and i believe jack plates are banned, so removing the bow tank (weight saving, using fuel as ballast instead)) and running 1" below (helped handleing, loosing some outright straight line speed) whereas i can jack engine up for straight line speed and drop it down for cornering but as my engine is now hanging 6" further off the transom i find i need to use my bow tank more to compensate for this.

Surely the weight of a trim pump cant affect alot and if it does having a heavy battery must compensate for this.

dude trim pump is probably around 10 kg's when full of oil and this is mounted around 2 feet from the centre of the boat so i'd imagine it would make quite a bit of difference
