I do NOT use the .465 method...
Just go by the furnished instructions , the end result will be 7 marks on your flywheel one mark will confirm O on # 1 so you can confirm where your static pointer is correctly lined up with the true O mark going in a CLOCK WISE rotation . Next rotate the gauge basel and align O with the needle .Next in a COUNTER CLOCK WISE rotation rotate the needle ( flywheel ) to .150" OR 1 1/2 turns of the needle ending up on .050" this will represent 25 degrees of timing on every hole you do this on...This becomes a GREAT trouble shooting tool to now advance the timing arm and shoot a timing light on all plugs in the fully advanced place corisponding to the 25 degree mark this will comfirm switch box and trigger health.
