laser II thrust washer

Hi
I,ve just bought a used laser II prop to fit on my alpha one leg, it appears to use the flo torq II hub, but when i fit it the prop rubs slightly on the back edge of the gear case, also the stepped part of the thrust washer doesnt seem long enough to push the nylon hub insert securely into the prop.
Does the laser II require a different thrust washer compared to a std mercruiser prop
I've looked at various online mercruiser parts lists and can only see one thrust washer listed.

Any ideas??

I searched the forum and found a post that mentions having a one off thrust washer made to fit, but I would have thought these props should fit straight on a mercruiser leg?

Cheers

Paul

Ok thanks, any idea how they are measured i.e do i measure the thickness of the washer & ask for the next size up, or do i just get a "washer to fit a laser prop"?? Are they a mercruiser dealer only part or can i get one from a prop supplier, (looked in the keypart catalogue & they only show one type).

Try prop revolutions or steel developements, just tell them what prop you have and they should sort you out.
