Mercury ignition feed....
Does anyone know what colour wire is the live ignition wire (i.e only live when the ignition is turned on) that exits the barrel in my quicksilver control box?
Its an early nineties 3 cylinder 90hp Mercury.
Cheers
Grant

Yup, it's purple.
Red/Purple stripe is the permanent live
to
the ignition switch.
Yellow/Red stripe = starter
Grey = Tacho

If you PM me your email address I'll scan you the relevent pages from my Merc service manual.
It covers "70 (3 cyl) Above Serial No. A719280 THRU 90 (3 cyl)"
