Mercury Off-Shore 4 Blade Prop

I have just bought one of these (cheap),I can't find any info on these and I wondered if anyone has used them,I know they are discontinued but are they any good and what sort of characteristics do they give-Bow Lift,Stern Lift etc.its only a 21 pitch and I'll probably only use it for leasure skiing so top speed is not important but if anyone knows what my boat should do with it on ?-any info appreciated as I can't test because the weather is crap ,Use it on Phantom 20-XR2,I'm trying to find a prop that gives very good pull for crap skiers and a good top speed-the best of both worlds.I'm using a 21p High five that gives good pull but tops out at 50 mph,but seems to handle well
any help appreciated.presumably a four blade would pull well out of the hole than a three so can a prop like this be repitched to say a 23P? for a faster top speed-I don't know how much a prop can be altered?

If its a hump back then it can't be repitched. Also a cleaver is proably not the prop you want for hole shot, try a Trophy Plus or Mirage.
If it is a hump back cleaver I would be interested if you want to sell it.

I believe they were aimed primarily at the twin V6 powered market, and were considered to give similar characteristics as a mirage, but with the benefits of 4 blades!

The Mercury prop books says.....

"If your heading off-shore, this high gloss Duratec finish stainless steel screw with four blades of raw power should be behind you. Large blades provide aggressive holding and acceleration in rough seas. And when your back at the dock, you'll appreciate the excellent reverse thrust , too"

My other prop book says....

"For twin V-6 outboard-powered boats, use a Mirage Plus 3-blade, or a 4-blade propeller such as the Alpha One Performance or Offshore series propellers. They offer outstanding lift for carrying heavy loads. Many twin V-6 boaters report better mid-range cruising speeds, reduced steering torque, and rough water handling when using 4-blade propellers"

Thanks for response

not sure if you would say its a hump backAs I don't know what that would look like,it looks like a High Five with four blades, but I have noticed the main hub is like a tube with no flare at the rear end.the number on it 48-825902A45 21P.does this help with identifying it?

Been looking for an OS cleaver for a while.
