Mercury V6 Carb Set Up

Hi guys, just bought my first boat project, it is a 18ft Marshan with a mercury 175 v6 motor that has stood for over 2 years and does not work, It has a serial number of 5180536 which tells me its a 2.0L exlpt 1979 model, I have the starter off being repaired and the next step is the carbs, Now this is the tricky part, the previous owner set about replacing these small leak off type pipes which seem to go from carb to carb and also to the heads and have small valves at the end, some of these pipes are snapped and some are missing does anyone have a manual on this motor or some technical help they could send me, obviously if a manual is available I will be happy to purchase it, Thanks
Davey

Hi Davey,

Your best best really is a Clymer or OEM manual, this details all you need.

Online Merc service manual is here if it helps:

http://1manual.com/Mercury%20manuals...8079/cover.pdf

Click through to what you need.

Another great resource is iBoats - loads of helpful yanks here and a great resource from searching:
