My book says 5.465m and a minimum weight of 575kg

Also A class has a max engine size of either 1850cc 2stroke/2200cc 4 stroke.

Do minimum lengths include the engine. My boat is 5m long but with an engine would make the length longer than the minimum 5.465m, or am I just clutching at straws.

The measured length is taken along the extremities of the hull only, as detailed in PB1.
If you are thinking of putting a 1.8 on your Argo then you are not clutching at straws, you need to see a shrink!

Just an idea!! Sure the old style B class used to have 16ft phantoms with merc 115's (Gary Archer). Convinced that sidewinder 2 was a 16ft phantom with a 130 yam on the back. Could be mistaken!
