Out of Boat Running of engine

I want to try to run my SB mercruiser out of the boat I know how to get the fuel and water in but how do I do the electric bit any advice would be appreciated.

Get your battery, and run the ground (negative) to the block. Since that should be breaker/condenser type distributor, you'll need to wire the distributor to the coil (negative side) and the positive side to the battery but double check if its a pick up dizzy
