Painting interior

Hi all,

Thinking of ripping the carpet out and painting the interior of my ring 21- any suggestions on a suitable paint? Something hardwearing obviously. Will I need to prep it or just slap it on?

Cheers!

John

2k car paint using just paint and hardener (no thinners) darker colours will give better finish ! very hard wearing, cheaper and lighter than waxed gel.

it will be a nightmare!!! when you pull the carpet up all the glue will still be there and you will see it through the paint. if you are going to do it you will have to grind out all the glue so you might as well flow coat.. paint will never adhere properly anyway

i have some solvent cleaner from my work that works very well at removing deposits of spray glue and foam backing the carpet will leave, i used QD90 macheane paint and it seemed to work quite well but patches are wearing.
after reading this thread i think ill use up the 3litres of 2pk black i have left from my build on my new deck next year

if you need some of the solvent cleaner gimme a shout john, works real well an gives you a nice head whilst using it!!
