Phantom 21ft - 1995 ?

Promised you guys pictures of possible project.

It's advertised as :
Phantom 21 ft - 1995
Fueltank at the front, stainless steel, only 70liter !
Light interior, all good condition

Is it a P21 ? Is it a '95 ?

Could be that "CC" has pickled his liver while knocking out 50 a day!
Try the Gib factor. Remember ,,,, it's a Black Boat.

don't know... I like this dark hull-color and the matching light interior... It seems a beauty on the pics...

This boat had different engines (see the pics).
What (transom)problems can I expect fitting on another engine ? Which shaftlength of engine do I need ? Or can I just mount it higher, lower or on a powerlift ?

I'd like to fit a rather old but good Merc EFI 250hp. (see the recent pic below). Could you guys advise on this idea... ?

problems- shouldent have any,
shaft pictured is long(20") which is fine but you can fit a 15" shortshaft for lower center of gravity but you will have lots of problems and may need to cut the transom down and get new steering.

Wow !! Didn't know this. So I can expect rebuilt-costs ?
According to the serialnumber it's a '89 2.4L Offshore
Serial Number = 0C175455
Model Number = HPP 1924942GH
Manufacturing Year = 1989
Description = ME – 2,4L OFF-RH

Owner says it runs great, open exhaust brings it to about 270hp. Never had problems, starts right away, compression 125lbs all 6 cil. Owners manual says new engine has 140lbs....

Is this engine worth a 350km drive and buy ?
Is '89 engine worth to rebuilt ?

Looking forward to reactions on this one...

when changing from standard to offshore the hp gain is 4-6 hp.

As burty said the 2.4 carb is 240 hp but the efi is 260 hp,
the compression is 20psi lower than new so it will be less than the "as new 260hp" but you could skim the heads to bring the compression back up .
