Phantom bow tank, anyone got pictures of it?

Hey Guys!

-New member here, or have been for a hvile without posting much as you see..
But enough of that, while reading a tread in the marketplace-section, I stumbled upon a add that had for sale a Phantom-bow tank-anyone of you got pictures of this? And the solution used for the boat around it(the glass-work/construction of the boat).

You see, I`m redoing my Hydrolift T20, it`s going to get an all new divinycell solution istead of Plywood(Rotten-plywood that was..)
Everything is going out of it in terms of Transom, braces everything..you name it!
I`m currently in the process of glassing in the new transom after spending a couple of month`s with a grinder in my hands, cutting and "sanding" out the old crap, to get good contact with the new glass/divinycell...

And for the bow-tank I was playing with the idea of getting one welded in stainless instead of glassing a new one.
The old ballast-tank ruptured twice during a little inspirated driving this summer...

You don`t feel too smart when there suddenly is about 100 litres of water on you feet while driving.

The main thing I am curious about is:How is this to attach to the boat? Will it start to Loosen up after a while and start wondering about and start smahing the boat? (if you know what I mean here..My English is abit of due to the fact I`m from Norway..So bear with me)

We have a Bowtank but it has a loose baffle inside so that will need to be removed or welded back on , pic attached

Thanks for the quick reply! And for the picture, but you wouldn`t happen to have a picture of one in the boat as well would you?

It should do something in the area of 70-80Knots, but since the 2.5EFi needed a rebuild, it has not performed quite as well as I would like..And I have not gotten a accurate reading, since I have not bought a GPS yet(first powerboat-bought it this summer)
The EFi is under a total rebuild now...Top-pinned pistons, gold-rings, everything lightened/ballanced , new rods, all bearings, reeds, Ecu, injectors and so on...

how old is the motor ? what sort of power are you expeting
to get from the engine who's doing the rebulid sorry about all the
questions just intrested

you can,t really see it but the front goes into a bit moulded th the hull. and the strap at the back runs under that angle that is bolted to the floor. is this how they came from phantom ?

A bit more response than I`m used to, great picture by the way...

I see that my Hydrolift has a different solution on the tank and braces...The Phantom has some huge ones in the deck also I see..Hmmm? makes me think that I should consider this on mine as well..

On my boat the braces in the hull goes as far as possible and the tank is glassed in between them, thous creating a triangle-shaped tank via the hull and the straight "roof" of the tank going across between the braces, if you guys understand me..?
I belive that this also helps stiffening the construction of the hull...
I`m using 20mm divinycell 80Kg/m3 all the way+CSM of different kinds for this, so it should be pretty sturdy...
So as you see I`m abit worried that if I go away from the original design of the hull, I may in fact weaken it by putting in a all-stainless tank instead -agree?, pluss it would also create alot of glass-work , that soultion also, so why not just glass in a new version of the old tank..

As for the engine:

The engine is a 94/95 2.5EFi 260.
I`m going to perform a standard rebuild, and just have the heads cut to 33/34CC (Hoping for 140+psi)
Have not got the money for a mad-efi or svs/pcu during this winter as I`m both doing the boat and the engine...Doing the work myself, with the manual and consulting myself with some F1-guys over here and with the help of the Scream and fly-forum(where Jay Smith from JSRE has helped me alot with tips already...Thankful for that!)
Have see the inside of alot of other "high-performance engines" over the years so I think I will get it right(I hope)

You are lucky to be able to be bolting one of Jay`s engines to your boat!! for sure!
