Power trim Problem

Have a snag with the power trim on the alpha leg.
The leg trims down ok on the switch but won t trim up at all on the up switch - to raise the leg I have to use the 'Trailer' up button.........would nt think it was the up solenoid.........

anyone any idea s?

No, it uses the same solenoid.

It will be, the up switch, it's wiring, or the trim limit switch built into the drive gimble (or it's wiring).

Think it could be the Sender as the wiring looks iffy, next question........where would I buy a set cheap enough - both sender and limiter.....local place in Dublin wants 105 euro. Can they be wired without taking the gimble off or does it mean splicing??

Not sure about the trim limit switch, but the Trim sender can be dismantled, the wires unscrewed (ring connector on wire ends) and replaced, although of course the trouble could be in the wire itself, or it's connection into the loom within the boat.

I think Matt recently bought replacements for his Formula, so he may know of a good/cheap source. ...Keypart maybe ??
