power trim question

When i trim/tilt my XR2 over a period of about 6 hours, the moter falls back to the down position. When under load this happens alot quicker. I am loosing no oil, the question is, is this likely the pump or the ram?
Thanks alot ,
Andy Mac

Do they still have a bypass screw for lowering the motor without electrical power?

They used to have that, and if the screw wasn't good and tight, it would drop over a period of time.

Worth a look but I'm sure the bad news of a re-seal is the more likely fix.

also worth a look at the check valves, if there is a bit of dirt in the check valve fluid will leak past slowly. that is of coarse if that system has check valves????

Pump

Looking for £100, it is a complete pump with the plastic reservoir and I have a choice of mounting brackets.
