Prop advice

Can anyone tell me if a laser 2, 22 will fit on a mercury blackmax 150? I`m comitted to buying one but have been told that a laser 2 22 will not fit the hub (by my local engineer) and now dont know wether not to go through with the deal. Seems a bit odd to me as I have a laser 2 19 on the 135.
Any advice will be great.
Cheers
Dan

I'm no expert on OB's, but the laser is definitely an OB prop, and assuming it's the larger hub size (V6) I can't imagine it wouldn't fit. I think the only exception is the large shaft sportmaster of late, bigger motors.

JBD, Hutchy, Neil, one of them lot aughta know for sure.

Thanks. I cant understand why a laser 2 19 will fit on a 1990 135 yet by all acounts a laser 2 22 will not fit on a 1990 150? Both blackmax.

Prop fittment.

Roofer yes you are wrong.
The laser props odd and even (large and small hub) will fit the V6.
Dan who told you otherwise???
I have run both types on a number of different V6 gearbox's.
Personally I find the Small hub (even pitches) better because the small diameter gives better handling, and also the small hub allows the exhaust gas to pass over the top instead of through the prop which aids for better hole shot.

Doesn't matter wether its a large hub or a small hub its the bush in the middle. I bought two 22's, one fitted and one didn't so I had the bush changed by prop revolutions for about £65. If it's got the bit that the tabs on the nut retainer fold down into then it should fit. Post a pic from the top down if you have one.

Falmouth

Was in Falmouth on Friday at a Wedding up at Pennden Castle.
Could see across the bay from there looked great sun was shinning water was nice and flat and I was stuck up there with the sun beating down on me.
Bummer as I had my ski and wetsuit in the van, was thinking about just driving down to the slipway and sweet talking someone into giving me a ski.

Looks a nice place for boating tho.

Who have you got crewing for you?
