prop question
hello all, running a 22 pitch suzuki prop on a ring 20 with a 200hp suzuki on it, standard engine, got 61.5 mph out of it, takes off nicely and sounds like its revving high on full trottle, rev clock not working yet. any ideas what pitch id get away with on it? like to get bit more mph out of it! cheers
here she is

cheers driver, the engine will have to do for now until funds allow! what speed would you expect it to reach with a 24 25?

Hi Conor,
I already spoke to Roger about this, take the boat up to Malahide and you can try a few props to see what works.
We also need to do your race training anyway so that would be a good time.
You really need a tacho working before you start prop testing properly.
I take it you have the gearbox sorted now so?
The boat looks well

Sounds good! You think you guys will make Foynes in two weeks time? Would be good to get you guys out for the last couple of races.
Trying desperately to get the rest of the boats out that didnt make it this year for at least the last race.
Let me know if you need anything.
Alan

Spoke to Rog today and he was telling me alright. Would be fine, last two races will be calm, foynes in Shannon estuary and lough derg! So they're not going to be too heavy! See if you guys can make it, would be good to get as many out as we can before packing up for the winter.
It would give you a good idea how the boat runs in the fleet and get a good idea what needs doing over the winter.
